Jeffrey Manzelli
Publishing Résumé

Introduction

I was born in 1963 to a former English teacher and an industrial contractor. My mother provided a rich and precise verbal environment, later reinforced with lessons in Latin and Spanish. My father taught me about physics and processes. This knowledge evolved through labor and experimentation into creative skills. I've applied myself dilligently to the Arts of photography, sculpture, music, and radio production. Kurt Vonnegut said "Write about what you know." I believe It's the writer's responsibility to explore terra incognita before leading readers on their journey into the unknown. Ever entrepreneurial, I published a class magazine in fourth grade. In 1995 I started and ran a small business. My latest effort has been a year long indulgence in html and web graphics, preceeded by the founding of a successful family magazine ('97-'99) with Catherine Jordan, my former partner of 15 years. My website is my latest writer's project, and serves as a portfolio.

Objective

To obtain employment in publishing. I'm interested in design, production and development. I create independently from concept to finish, and as a team member, and I appreciate opportunities to share skills. I prefer a position with benefits and opportunity for growth and advancement.
